Great for travel
I purchased a portable gym and took it with me on a trip to Colorado. Instead of hanging it on a door, I used it outside on a tree and got to work out while looking at the mountains. Portability and price were key factors for me. Recommended.

From my experience, the Lifeline Gym has always been a very easy way to get an effective workout in the least amount of time. It's only one of the reasons why I continue to use it year after year. The key word here is easy.
The Lifeline Informercial had some of the best testimonials ever for an exercise product.
I saw Patrick Netter at a Celebrity Golf and Tennis Tournament a couple weeks ago here in Boulder and we discussed the gym at length. His sentiments echoed mine as well. We both believe the Lifeline Gym [Portable Gym] is the best portable exercise on the market.
If there is ever anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to give me a call. As always, the Lifeline Gym is the greatest!

My name is John Davis and I was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Chicago Cubs. Presently, I am on my own as a health and fitness consultant. The only took that I have carried over without hesitation into my new endeavors is the Lifeline Portable Gym. I found the Lifeline to be irreplaceable in my work with the Cubs. Besides the strength work, our Lifelines were also used for rehabilitation. Physiologically, the Lifeline Gym [Portable Gym] can be set up to perform an exercise desired.
You can set up the Lifeline in any roomand fifteen to twenty minutes later you've gotten a full body workout. The results are as good if not better than free weights and machines. The Lifeline works through a full range of motion unrestricted and safe. I feel it provides the best variable resistance isotonic exercise.
I like the Lifeline Gym because it does what it says it will do. You get a great workout anywhere, quickly and safely.

Lifeline Gym aka Portable Gym
Bobby,
I can't begin to tell you what a pleasure it was to speak with you this afternoon, especially after all these years. It was really exciting to hear that your concepts in physical fitness have been so well received.
I can't recall the exact year, I believe it was around 1984, I purchased my first Lifeline Gym from you personally at a trade show in Atlanta, GA. Since that date, my Lifeline Gym has accomponied me to Europe probably no less than 6 times. It has been to Hong Kong, Australia, Puerto Rico, not to mention the Bahamas 10-15 times.
I recently had rotator cuff surgery and I hate to admit it (age has caught up with me) and I need to get a tube with less resistance. In our conversation you recommended the R4. I also need the door attachment.
If you would be kind enough to let me know what I need to do to get those two items, I would certainly appreciate it.
I wish I could snap my fingers and give a video testimonial to every senior citizen out there. I'm so happy for you that all has worked out so well.
I look forward to hearing from you. Again, it was exciting...you really made my day.
Have a tremendous and joyous holiday.
Kindest Regards,
Michael Lovejoy

We got a kick out of finding this gem on YouTube. Amazing, really!

Versatile and cost efficient.
I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased we are with the Lifeline gym system. As a professional football team, we are always looking for ways to help players improve physically and rehabilitate from injuries. We have used Lifeline for over 15 years and find it to be very versatile and cost efficient.
Keep up with the good work!

Extensive travel and fitness!
I’ve never written a testimonial on a product to a company before having neither the time nor the inclination. However, I’d like to let you know how pleased I am with the Lifeline Home Gym.
I am a commercial helicopter pilot and I’ve been working the international side of the market for around 25 years. I suppose I’ve also been a fitness fanatic for the same period. My job requires extensive travel and because of that, I’ve run the gamut over the years of most portable exercise products. I’ve carried Bullworkers to Egypt, chin up bars to Bangladesh and even a Soloflex machine (not so portable) to Peru.
Recently I participated in a 6 month joint Russian / American expedition to the Weddell Sea off the coast of Antarctica. We established a very basic camp under brutal conditions on a 1-mile long ice floe and drifted northward for nearly 400 miles during our stay.
The camp facility provided by our Russian counterparts proved to be more rugged than we had anticipated. No allowance was made for the need to maintain a level of fitness during the long stay.
Fortunately, before I’d left the States I’d purchased your product. Initially, I was skeptical that any satisfying routine would be possible under the conditions encountered, but after the first session with the Lifeline, I was elated. I realized that your product was the perfect device to have brought with me. I even began to feel that I was getting a better workout with the Lifeline than I’d ever received from larger floor model exercisers I’ve owned.
I’m off to Jakarta in a few weeks and I’ll be carrying the Gym and 3 Cables (R6, R8 and R10). It’s proven to be the answer for me not merely traveling but at home as well.
Sincerely,
James Innes

A good fitness program.
I have been on a couple of road trips lately and I wanted you to know that I have been putting the Lifeline gym to good use.
I do have a garage of weight lifting equipment at home and have a regular program. So when I am out of town for a few days, I like to be able to carry on with something that makes me feel I am still getting a good fitness program. The Lifeline gym fulfills this requirement.
Thanks for the equipment.
Sincerely,

"i looked better than ever"
I have been training with him for about 3 years now using the Lifeline Gym. I think it is great how you make your product.
At first when my uncle showed me the rubber band work out, I started to laugh because I thought it would be an easy thing to do. But when I tried to use the black rubber band, it was very hard. I never knew how hard it would be to do a rubber band work out. So I started light and worked out using the black rubber band. After exercising with it, I saw a lot of improvement in my body. I started to get cut and everything. My muscles were getting bigger and I looked better than ever. When I first started to use the rubber band work out, I weighted about 250 and then I dropped to 200 in weight.

truly remarkable
I enjoyed exercising everyday, but due to my travel and the time that I spend working, exercising is not always easy to accomplish. Owning the Lifeline Gym has made exercising on a daily basis easy. When I come home from work during the football season, which is in the evening, I am able to work out while watching television or preparing dinner. The Lifeline Gym is so compact it easily packs away in my travel bag when I leave town for away games.
I am amazed at how you can exercise and strengthen the entire body using the Lifeline Gym. The overall body toning and muscle mass that can be achieved is truly remarkable.
Anyone who does not have the finances to purchase expensive exercise equipment or to join a health club can easily afford the Lifeline Gym. It is very inexpensive and easy to use.
Good luck in the future and thanks for making such a fantastic product.

"The Best Kept Secret"
After a fitness magazine called the Lifeline Gym "The Best Kept Secret", I searched my area in vain hoping someone had even heard of your secret. If not for my husband's efforts, I wouldn't have my own Lifeline Gym and I wouldn't have known what I was missing.
Coming from a power lifting background, I'm familiar with all the machines. The Lifeline Gym provides a rounded workout I would stack against any Club's. I like to max out every third day and when I do, I can't imagine my workout getting any better. When I'm ready for a workout, so is my gym.
That's why I want to spread the news. You have a quality product; I just have to show them. And the great thing about the Lifeline Gym is that all I need is an audience.

Some comments about the Lifeline products.
I wanted to offer some comments about the Lifeline products. Like many others, in my youth, I was in great shape and involved in many physical activities. I am now currently in my 40s and I haven't exercised regularly for several years. I allowed work and other concerns to monopolize my time. Recently, I have had to deal with medical issues resulting from my inactivity and the wake-up call is loud and clear. I don't have a lot of space to work out in or a lot of time between work assignments to hit the gym 4 times a week. In addition, the cost of the better gym locations is definitely not in my budget right now.
I decided to try the Lifeline Portable gym, some extra cables and two sets of Triple Grip handles. I will list what I have learned so far.
1) Let me assure you that these cables are very strong.
2) Correct performance of exercises (especially those done in a standing position) require use of core muscles to a much greater extent than static machines or free weights require. This means you have to work these muscles also to stay stable and use correct form during any standing exercise. The workout can be as intense as you want it to be if you are creative enough.
3) As a result of the stability issues, you may have to start at a lower weight rating with the cables than you might be accustomed to with free weights (check the FAQ on the site for the cable weight ratings). You might also stand closer to the door to decrease the tension.
4) The door attachment works. Read the instructions and don't forget to pull vary hard when testing it prior to use. A strong pull in advance gives me a lot more confidence during a workout.
5) I don't want to waste time adjusting the height of the door attachment AT ALL during a workout so I place it between hip and chest height (I am still experimenting) and I can vary what I am doing in two ways: by stepping closer to or away from the door or by using a folding chair (yes, you can do exercises while seated in this way).
6) The Triple Grips are all ready paying for themselves. They will eventually allow me to go above 100 pounds of cable. I hope my door can take it.
7) The only equivalent workout I can think of is by use of a fairly expensive pulley machine available at a gym or for about $1500+ for a similar home version.
Finally, when I had problems with my orders (one of them was all my fault), Lifeline's customer service was excellent. They went the extra mile to help me. I have no regrets about ordering from them. My experience is that they care about making their customers happy.
My only suggestion is that Lifeline creates cables rated for 5lbs and/or 15lbs. That would let some us of move up in weight in 5lb increments as opposed to 10lb increments. As mentioned earlier, you can stand closer to the door to decrease the overall tension, so maybe the intermediate weights are unnecessary if you are monitoring your distance from the door.
I hope this is of help to some of you that are considering the purchase.
