Cables and Handles

SKU: BYOS-GROUP

Description

Cables
Lifeline's cables are all made using Progressive Layering Technology™, so they feel better and last longer than common extruded fitness bands. The reviews say it all and it's true - Lifeline really makes great fitness bands (and handles)! Use different bands for different exercises and ranges of motion - or move up to the next resistance level for added challenge and continued strength, endurance and performance gains. It's also a good idea to replace your bands every 3 to 5 years, depending on use and wear - and with Lifeline's interchangeable system, it's easy! Feel the difference and try a Lifeline cable today!

Handles (come in pairs)
The patented Exchange Handles are ergonomic and have loads of subtle cable saving and comfort adding features, but the most important is the cable pocket design. The 'pocket and channel' allows you to interchange any of the 10 resistances LifelineUSA offers. Hold 1, 2 or 3 cables at the same time using the patented LifelineUSA Triple Grip Handle. The simple, patented design allows you to stack up to 300lbs on a pair of handles. Go from light resistance for shoulder movements to very heavy for squats and curls...just add or remove a couple bands. Grip-All Handles are adjustable and interchangeable, accepting a fitness cable, flat band or nylon cord. Just insert cable or band into the slot and secure by pushing the grip ball and tugging the cable or band to secure. Adjust the length to increase resistance instantly. Patented grip ball design minimizes wear on cables and bands. Ergonomic handle rotates to reduce stress on your wrist as you exercise. Or try our basic handle, the Quik Fit Handle, which does a great job and brings added portability to your resistance band / cable system.

Heavy-Duty Door Attachment
By simply closing it in any three hinge-door, you have a durable cable anchor that will allow you to do up to 10X more exercises / movements be eliminating the need for you to stand on the tubing. The new non-wear Cable Cradle saves you money by reducing wear and tear on your cables 11% over the standard model.

great alternative to lifting weights -- highly recommended. Review by jojoleb (Pittsburgh, PA)

Product:
TNT Cable System
Most people are quite familiar with lifting weights as a way to do strength training. Weights definitely work, but they are not easily portable and there is a high potential for injury if you are lifting without the proper technique.

Enter exercise cables, a viable alternative to using weights for strength training. TNT cables, made by Lifeline, are some of the best out there. They use quality materials allowing the cables to hold up use after use. The cables come in a wide variety of different strengths that are well standardized by this company. And they are eminently portable, weighing less than a couple pounds.

Cables are versatile, and Lifeline's handle increases their versatility. You can connect up to three cables at a time to the TNT handle allowing you to increase or decrease the resistance as needed for a given exercise. A note to the skeptical: cables are no less challenging than weights. They are a different form of resistance, but by using multiple and heavier bands most people will find them just as challenging.

This is also a no frills/no nonsense product. Basically you receive the handles, three 'R4' cables, and a simple instruction poster. A door attachment is also supplied which increases the number of exercises that you can do.

Some caveats:
1. Snapping the cables in and out of the handle is simple, but with higher resistance cables this can sometimes be a daunting task. Once you get the hang of it it is fairly quick but it can take some serious stretching and pulling at first.
2. There are a lot of exercises that work well with the cables, but they do not correlate exactly with similar exercises with weights. You may have to experiment with different angles or approaches to make one of your exercises work with the bands.
3. Band resistance is different than weight resistance. Weight resistance is constant and dependent on gravity. Band resistance increases as the band is stretched. This is not a bad thing, it is just different and it takes a while to get used to the bands if you have used weights all of your life.
4. There is no exact 'number' or poundage that you can look at with the bands. This drives weight lifters crazy, because they cannot gauge their progress as easily. I have to say, however, that once you get used to using the bands this matters less. The results are no less dramatic than weights anyway so gauging progress becomes less important over time.

I am impressed with this product. It is especially great for travel as it takes nearly no room in the suitcase and makes your gym portable.

For those days when you don't have access to your kettlebells or sandbags, the TNT cable fills the niche in an outstanding manner. Complexes with a mix of bodyweight exercises and cable exercises can give you a great workout. Very portable, easy to set up and use. Simple and effective. Highly recommended.

I just want to go on record as saying I think Lifelines TNT cables are fantastic! I went a little too lite on mine, but I still get an excellent whole-body workout every time I use them. For my purposes ( which are different from yours) they are currently more valuable than $500 worth of weights and bars.

iSwitch from free weights to fitness cables a must! Review by Samuel- VA
Submitted by Info@LifelineUSA.com on Tue, 06/22/2010 - 15:29.

I purchased the TNT cables and a few bands to see how they work. I wanted to see how they work and get change of pace from lifting the free weights. Wow! was I surprised with the resistance, flexibility and smooth feel from the start to end of the repetition. My workouts are more efficient and I maintain the high intensity. I have referred your product to all my friends trains with weights and I have picked up additional cables. Great product!!!!!

Your product works!!! Review by Samuel Ellis
Submitted by Info@LifelineUSA.com on Wed, 12/15/2010 - 10:33.

I have had nothing but great things to say about the results that I have had using your product. I go through the workouts and have no joint pain like I experienced before with free weights. I have since told everyone of my friends who workout regularly about the TNT cables and how you can get a super workout with them. Let me give you a little bit of my background. I am a certified advance personal trainer, former Army Drill Sgt and was national level bodybuilder so I think I know what works and what doesn't. Your product works!!! I have had mine now for 6 months and have purchased all the cable 20-100lbs. At the Men's ministry at my church I gave a demonstration workout with the few cables. The men were very skeptical when I pulled out handles and just a few cables. But after I went through a few exercises and let them feel the cables work for themselves they were hooked. I had several asked me where I got them. Our ministry will have a fitness seminar in January and I will give another workout demonstration using the cables.
Again just wanted to let you know your products are great!

Your cables bring joy back to my workout Review by ja6pck
Two years ago I suffered a injury while lifting heavy weight on the bench press. As a result, I had bursitis in my right shoulder. Being the stubborn person that I am, I tried to ignore my pain and push through the heavy weight. Well, I got punished for it because I then developed bursitis in my left shoulder! I was very depressed. All I wanted to do was get the feeling of pumping iron and it was taken from me.

I spent thousands of dollars on doctor visits, 2 mri, physical therapy, massage therapy, and countless other services in the hopes that I could lift weights again. Even after giving my body rest, I couldn't go back to lifting heavy weights because the damage I did from lifting caused instability in my shoulders.

I recently stumbled across the Lifeline tubing bands and what caught my eye was the resistance these bands offered. I figured I had nothing to lose so I purchased the TNT cables to see how they will work. When I tried out the bands, IT WAS A MIRACLE! NO PAIN! Even when using 250lbs of band resistance, NO PAIN! The bands did not create stress on the joints like traditional weights do, so I was pain free. These bands brought me back to life.

After working with Lifeline bands for over 2 months I already got back my size and strength I had when working with traditional weights. As for my shoulders, I gained a lot of my stability back just from working with the bands! I have no intentions of using traditional weights again. Why risk injury? I will be pain free for the rest of my life using Lifeline cables!

Thank you Lifeline. You have brought back the joy in working out again. You brought a smile back to my face=)

BTW, if you ever need a spokesperson, you wont find a more satisfied customer than me! (Posted on 4/26/11)
Very Versitile & Low Impact Review by Tamborine
During my training whether using dumbbells to water weight, I've found the resistance band gives you the most range in motion to your workouts bar none. They are so versatile to give you that range that you need. The traditional weights that are used widely and are great for some, but when you want a low impact on your joints or prevent from injuring your old injury it's the best solution I have found. Traditional weights weigh down on your body, especially your lower back. Even with all the precautions of great form, you'll feel it weighing down on you. With the bands? You can forget that feeling.

I've been on a quest to find the best solution for a low impact solution, while still maintaining that resistance you would get from a traditional dumbbell weights. And Lifeline did it! They've combined something simplistic and made it much better. With their triple grip handle you can mix and match the resistance that you need. Whether you need a 100lbs of resistance to as little as 10. It's a great system overall and has given me the chance to work out again and worry less of re-injuring my back. (Posted on 5/10/11)

I am a believer Review by Uwejens
I have been working out with free weights for my whole life, and would have laughed at a system like this, thinking it could not match the workout I get in the gym. I have three young children, so I am pressed for time these days, so I wanted to come up with a workout I could do at home and did not have room for all the free weights I have owned in the past. I tried the Lifeline's cables thinking the investment is small what do I have to lose. I was shocked what an intense workout I got out of the Lifeline's cables. I use them three times a week for 45 minutes and look the best I have in years. I am now telling everyone I know about Lifeline's cables. Thank you so much for creating such a great product. Excellent workout - easy on your joints, portable and compact Review by PATRICK
I love the Lifeline resistance bands. They provide an excellent workout that I can do both at home and on the road. The bands and handles are compact and store easily in my rolling luggage while traveling. At home, they take up a tiny corner of my apartment.

One thing to note about traveling with these bands, if they're in your carry-on luggage, you may get some TSA questions. I was brought aside during a recent business trip and questioned about the interesting multicolor bands in my bag. After showing the agents what they were I had 3 new Lifeline customers. In fact, one of the agents joked that he was going to "confiscate" them so he wouldn't have to purchase a set. (Posted on 11/20/11)
simply awesome Review by FCF4L
I'm a fomer fighter and martial arts instructor with alot of injuries and a chronic joint condition. Your chest expander(three orange cables) and black resitance cable (which equals about a 40 lb dumbell in each hand) are awesome beyond belief. I have a injuries and a disease that has damaged my joints alot and your clabes are super safe. I have looked at every band on the market, even the ones that are "heavy resitance" and quite frankly they are a joke, like lifting a 20lb dumbell and that is the most heavy duty one you can buy lol. All they are good for is shadow boxing maybe.(rather have your power puncher though) but your cables and chest expander rock. Imagine a TNT cable with 3 black cables in it. 300 pounds of resistance does it get any better for portable resistance training? I don't think so. Thanks (Posted on 12/22/11)
A good choice for al levels of fitness Review by Dr. Pat
Three cables handles can be adjusted for resistances from 10lbs. to 300 lbs. for anything from rotator cuff rehab to heavy strength training. The door mounts increase the variety of movements available. Much more affordable that other trendy systems. Just a good product at a good price.
